Hi, I am Will and I am a freelance lighting designer, programmer & operator based in Salisbury, Wiltshire / Basingstoke, Hampshire area. I am confident with the ETC Eos & Chamsys software.
I designed my very first show in 2022 with my school musical. I got to design, program, and operate the lighting for the production—and even teach other students how to use the lighting console. What that did for me was show me that lighting wasn’t just something I could do—it was something I liked, and it’s all I’ve wanted to do since.
I’d describe my work as professional, enjoyable, and unique. I’m dedicated to bringing the director’s vision to life precisely as they envisioned it, while ensuring each show looks and feels its absolute best. I’m proud to be hardworking, reliable, and creative, and I love collaborating with performers, directors, and other artists to help make a performance truly shine.
Lighting has come naturally to me. Even as a child, when I did street dance, I was more interested in the lights than the performing. It’s relaxing, fulfilling, and just the kind of work that I have always wished to do. Every show is an opportunity to do something magical, to highlight the emotion of a moment, and to leave the audience with something to remember.
